On 1 and 2 November, during the “Urban Trekking National Day”, in collaboration with the Municipality of Naples, we organized two days of discovery of the urban biodiversity, along a route that from one of the most suggestive city parks of Naples, the Virgiliano, leads to the beach of Gaiola.

Both events have seen a great participation from people of all ages (about 80 participants!), interested about urban birding, the nature of the city and the many species of animals and plants often overlooked.

The participants, in addition to the most common birds, were lucky enough to observe many species of interest, both sedentary, such as Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) and Common Raven (Corvus corax), that wintering, such as Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) and Eurasian Siskin (Spinus spinus).
